Vision
To collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies in developing holistic and all-encompassing solutions for community development. Our primary focus is on historically Black and/or low-moderate income communities, with an unwavering commitment to fostering self-sufficiency and empowerment economic FREEDOM.
Signature Programs
Historic and Cultural Preservation
Preserves and interprets African American history and cultural landscapes in Eastern North Carolina while connecting heritage, community resilience, environmental sustainability, and economic development.
Community Economic Development (CED)
Collaborates with stakeholders, developers, investors, and NGOs to foster economic growth in traditionally under-resourced areas.
Agriculture & Food Systems
Strengthen local food systems by fostering collaboration among small/mid-size farmers, stakeholders, and the community.
